Why does my Archinko display show an error code?Updated 7 hours ago

The machine has detected an error, for example that the ball reserve is empty (Code E8).

What are the Error Codes, their meaning, and the troubleshooting needed?

Code: E5

Instructions: Hopper Sensor Error

Troubleshooting: There is an error with the ball hopper (the component that ejects the balls). There could be a ball stuck in the ball hopper. Open the front panel with the key. Unscrew the 2 screws (1 left, 1 right) fixating the playfield. Now you can lift the glass and the playfield, and see the ball hopper. Check if there is a ball stuck and carefully remove it with a screwdriver. Restart the machine.

Code: E7

Instructions: Ball Inserting Error

Troubleshooting: Open the back panel by unscrewing the 2 screws. In the chute where balls fall down, there might be a ball stuck, blocking the sensor. You can unscrew the chute and sensor to inspect for stuck balls. Remove them, and restart the machine.

Code: E8

Instructions: Ball Eject Error

Troubleshooting: There is an issue ejecting balls. There are probably no more balls in the machine. Turn the machine OFF. Insert at least 20 balls at the top. Then turn the machine ON again. If balls are ejected, the error is resolved. Add more balls to ensure there is enough reserve. If this doesn’t resolve the error, the ball sensor might be damaged.

Code:  E17-28

Instructions: Target sensor Error (targets lanes on the playfield)

Troubleshooting: E17 is target 1 (the most left target lane), E18 is target lane 2, E19 is target lane 3 etc.

Inspect the corresponding target sensor for a blockage.
